uMing-Chi Kuo, one of Apple’s most respected analysts, stated via his Twitter page that the company will only be able to integrate its next high-performance processor into the Pro models of the new iPhone series.
While the Pro models of the iPhone 14 will have a new processor, it appears that the standard models – currently known as the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max – will maintain the same processor that was launched with the iPhone 13 series, namely the A15 Bionic.
Only two Pro models will get the upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 and 14 Max models will continue with the A15. All four new models are likely to have 6 GB of RAM,” says Kuo in a post.
Apple hasn’t confirmed this information yet, but given what we’ve seen in previous years, it’s likely that the decision will only be formally made at the company’s (traditionally) event that takes place in September.
Only two Pro models will be upgraded to the A16 processor, while the 14 and 14 Max models will remain the A15. All four new models will likely come with 6GB of RAM, with the difference being LPDDR 5 (14 Pro and 14 Pro Max) vs. LPDDR 4X (14 and 14 max). https://t.co/tHcszIz6gX
