Waw Villages, a company specializing in the creation of sustainable small villages, has launched its first real estate project, set against the backdrop of the Serra da Arrábida region.
On a plot of more than 11,000 square meters, it plans to start construction of Waw Villages Cabanas “in the last quarter of 2024,” which it presents as “the first sustainable luxury residential complex in the municipality of Palmela.”
Located in the parish of Cabanas, the residential complex will consist of six “villas” with an architecture “inspired by old barns”, with a total construction area of six thousand square meters.
“For strategic reasons and financial commitments,” the company did not want to disclose to Negócios the value of the investment in Waw Villages Cabanas, but did reveal the sale prices of the homes: “The value of the T3 types starts at 1.45 million euros,” with the “T4 + 1” costing 2 million euros.
At Porta da Frente Christie’s, the most expensive house is already “reserved”.
T3s will be 244 sqm, T3+1 about 261 sqm, and T4+1 about 365 sqm.
“A distinctive proposal aimed at environmentally conscious urban families who want to live surrounded by nature, but want to be close to Lisbon and with all the essential services available,” highlights WOW Villages.
The promoter company guarantees that Waw Villages Cabanas “will have efficient homes built with eco-friendly materials of certified origin and produced with respect for the environment”, and “included in the ‘master plan’ is the area dedicated to leisure, which will have a unique landscape architecture, built with native plants that respect the local fauna and flora”.
It also ensures that there will be in this recreational area a biological park of one thousand square meters built on the principle of sustainable agriculture for self-consumption.
A poultry area, a compost area and a community firewood area will also be part of this apartment, and the project is also planned to feature a shared heated swimming pool and a “green house” that will be used for social events, as well as a private “co-working” space.
“The entertainment area also includes a large green area with shade covering more than a thousand square metres,” the company concludes, expecting the project to be completed by the end of next year.
