The Paraná State Department of Health (CISA) will open a Disciplinary Administrative Process (PAD) to investigate the case of Doctor Fernando Dias Lima, known as “Doctor Pacana” who was dismissed this week from the Military Police accused of sexual offences.

According to the Executive Transparency Portal, the doctor works in Cascavel, west of the state, in an advanced life support unit, and earns a total monthly salary of R$10,331.49.
The expulsion of the Prime Minister was determined in a decree published in the Official Gazette of Paraná last Tuesday (11).
Before joining the military police, the doctor was a counselor in Cascavel and a candidate for the vice-mayor of the city under the name Fernando Bacana. In the barracks he is known as “Cool Doctor”.
In addition to regular consultations, Lima provided emergency in-barracks care and certified certificates signed by civilian doctors for the military police.
The doctor was denounced by the Public Prosecutor’s office in Paraná in 2018. The case was investigated in the military field, which acquitted the then colonel of the crimes.
However, the prosecution appealed, and in 2022, the justices overturned the decision to acquit the defendant. Thus, the case returned to the military court.
In addition, an appeal is pending in the First Criminal Chamber of the Court of Justice of Paraná (TJ-PR), which is responsible for adjudicating cases of military justice at the state level. The appeal is confidential and its rapporteur is Telmo Sherim.

According to Colonel Rita Aparecida, a veteran of the Prime Minister’s ranks and adviser to the military union, the expulsion of Dias Lima makes him lose his strength in this “mainly financial” process.
