With the aim of increasing vaccination coverage, the Mayor of Lovera, Estanislao Stec, was on Wednesday (22), together with other mayors and Ministers of Health of the Metropolitan Region Jundiai (RMJ) to sign the National Vaccine Awareness Charter. This action was launched by the Federal Public Ministry, through the Health Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Health, PAHO, ANVISA and FIOCRUZ. All vaccines on the national vaccination calendar are available in Lovera for all ages. Committed to raising awareness, Louveira City Hall publishes weekly where and when residents can get vaccinated, as well as the importance of parents and guardians checking their children’s records. Also participating in the signing ceremony were the Minister of Health of Lovera, Marcia Bevilacqua, the Director of Health Surveillance, Erica Ben, and María Maddalena Pereira Coelho Cruz, who provided support.
Brazil’s national immunization program is one of the largest in the world, offering 45 different types of immunobiologics to the entire population. There are vaccines targeting all age groups and annual campaigns to update the vaccination record.
In addition to the possibility of residents being vaccinated during the week in the Basic Health Units (UBS), there will be a team on Thursday (23) in Praça da Bica, from 9 am to 12 noon, for vaccination against Covid-19 and influenza.
Among the available vaccines are those for measles, polio, rubella, tetanus, whooping cough, meningitis, hepatitis B, yellow fever, and others. Check out the full calendars below:
