On Saturday the 9th of next month, Nova Veneza will host the Fodaxman international extreme triathlon, which has been held in the city for five years. The athletes will compete in distances of 4 km swimming, 173 km cycling, and 42 km running. In this edition, 50 athletes are registered, and in addition to the Brazilians coming from different states, competitors from the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Argentina, Spain and France also arrive in the south of the state. In this edition, the race returns to the Serra do Rio do Rastro region towards the Urubici region.
The start will be in the dark, at 4 am, at the Rio São Bento Dam with a swim of 4,000 metres, then switching to Urubici, passing through Serra do Rio do Rastro, a distance of 172 kilometers with an elevation gain of about 3,650 metres.
