In October 2023, shortly after Microsoft started making Copilot available on Windows 10, the company also confirmed a bug in the system, which primarily affected those who had more than one monitor on it.
In some situations, desktop icons can “shift” between different screens, causing users to have to move them back to the correct location. This issue mainly occurred when Copilot was activated in the system, which definitely caused some problems, considering the way the company encouraged it.
Now, almost a year later, Microsoft has finally confirmed that this bug has been resolved. This fix is provided as part of update KB5039299, which is provided for Windows 10.
Users who update their systems should not have problems using Copilot in conjunction with the system, as the icons will change suddenly.
The update is being provided gradually, so it may take a few days to reach all users. Anyone who wants to get it first can always try manually searching through Windows Update, in the system settings.
