One such case is Xiaomi. With the arrival of MIUI 13, the phone company has included a new feature, similar to what was introduced by Apple, called Optimized Charging.
Period drums It can be one of the main reasons we look for when buying a mobile device. Manufacturers make an effort over time to improve autonomy through hardware or software.
One of these cases is xiaomi. with arrival MIUI 13, the phone company added a new function, similar to what in An apple Introduced, called “optimal loading”. We tell you what it is and how you can help improve the battery in our peripherals.
In this article you will find:
What is Xiaomi Optimized Charge?
With the premise of improving our battery life, Optimized Charge is a feature that relies on learning our charging patterns in order to extend battery life.
To learn from patterns, the app collects data about the device’s charging time and learns over time. For example, if we always charge the battery overnight, Optimized Charge will charge up to 80% overnight, and before we wake up, we’ll charge the rest until the device is fully charged in the morning.
The feature has not been activated in a short period of time because it needs to learn from the charging cycle of our device. Once activated, it will help to spend fewer charging cycles, therefore, in advance, it will increase the life of the device, as we said above.
How to enable load optimization in MIUI?
From a device with MIUI 13, to activate MIUI Optimized Loading, we need to do the following:
- Let’s go to settings in our terminal.
- Once in Settings, we look for the “Battery” setting among the options.
- Under the Battery menu, a new window will appear with the charging and battery options.
- In the Battery window, we click on the Battery tab.
- Among the options we have the improved MIUI battery. We activate it.
Useful feature but doesn’t seem to work in all cases
While it’s true that improved battery life is a great feature to help extend battery life, it never seems to work well on devices; When testing with a Xiaomi 12 Pro, the feature is never fully activated.
We don’t know if it’s due to our usage, but the device always charges every night, so it should be more than enough to activate the function.
As with the MacBook Air, there are times when the app detects that we have a very random usage pattern, so it always charges the device to 100%.
It would be ideal to always be able to force the battery to charge at a steady rate without using any external app. This will allow us to give the phone more life, as it is recommended to keep the battery between 20% and 80% of the charge.
