Rafaela Trestman was present at the music festival with Ranani Nedijelski Glazer, the Brazilian who disappeared in Israel after the attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on the country.
Sao Paulo – Rafaela Trestman, the girlfriend of Ranani Glazer, the Brazilian missing in Israel, reported in an interview with CNN on Sunday about moments of panic in the Hamas attack on the country.
They were with a friend at a festival held in the south of the country. Rafaela reported that on Saturday morning (the 7th), at the concert, they began to see rockets in the sky. Then they went to look for a hideout.
“We went to the road and saw that there was a bunker at a bus stop. Then we thought that everything would be fine, because the missiles would not be a problem in the bunker. But the bunker started to fill with people. I cannot say how many there were, it was not possible to move around the place Which we were in.”
At that moment, Rafaela Treisman says, tear gas bombs began being thrown toward the bunker, “one after the other.”
“There were many wounded and dead inside the bunker. We had no way to leave, and we tried to call the police. In short, we defended ourselves with the bodies of people who died.”
“At some point I no longer saw my friend. I don’t know if he got up or left. I never saw him again, I was very disoriented. I fainted a lot because of the gas.”
Immediately, the police arrived at the scene and checked the conditions of the residents. Rafaela and her friend left the hideout but Ranani was not found.
“I don’t really remember things. I know that at one point he was with me, we were in the corner, hugging, and at another time he wasn’t there anymore. I was so confused that I asked a girl who was next to me: ‘Ranani, is that you?'” And she didn’t respond. “, he says.
Rafaela says she is in touch with Ranani’s parents. The letter also said that friends of the missing man had created a WhatsApp group to share information that might be useful in the search.
“I just wanted to know he was okay, and I’m praying that he’s okay, in the hospital, and he couldn’t tell us,” he said.
