Stop it all: We already know the Feira de Sant’Iago poster. There are 17 concerts worth seeing
Among the artists who will be performing are Urrea, Barbara Tinoco, Pedro Abronhosa, Patio Matteo and Linda Martini.
It’s official: the Feira de Sant’Iago takes place from July 21 to August 6, and the poster for the 2023 edition has already been revealed. This year’s theme is a tribute to the poet Arrábida and his legacy – “Sebastião da Gama – Centenary”.
The event will be inaugurated, on Friday, July 21, by the Setubal Regional Conservatory – Children of Cantam Zeca Afonso, followed by singer Urrea on Saturday the 22nd. On the night of the 23rd, a different kind of art is expected at the Setubal Dance Festival. On the 24th, Nini takes the stage, while on Tuesday, the 25th, the artist is João Pedro Paes. To boost the local culture, Seiva and Banda Filarmónica da Capricho are my protagonists on the 26th night, but entertainment is guaranteed with Bateu Mateu on the 27th. The weekend starts with a performance, on the 28th, by Linda Martini, but don’t forget the kids and on the 29th you can catch a Masha show and the Bear + Sheep Chone.
Sunday, July 30th, Deolinda de Jesus and Teresa Tapadas promise plenty of music, as well, and to start the week off right, the Cais Sodré Funk Connection. Julinho KSD will be honoring the performance on the first day of August, but Toy from Setúbal is returning home for another performance on the second. Get ready to hear Bárbara Tinoco, on the 3rd, Sarah Correa, on the night of the 4th and Slow J on the 5th. The label ends with creator Pedro Abrunhosa, who will perform on August 6th.
This event has been held in Sado City for more than 400 years. It wasn’t always where he lives now, in Mantegadas – in fact, he’s been here for 19 years. Previous sites were Parque do Bonfim and Largo de Jesus on the beachfront and before the current site Avenida Luísa Todi. Depending on the edition, there are more than 400 thousand visitors and it is assumed, year after year, a real success of the history of Setubal and the preservation of its memory and traditions.
