After three consecutive matches without any victory, Atletico Madrid started the crisis by defeating its guest, Betis, 2-1, in the first match of the 27th round of the Spanish League.
The Portuguese Rui Silva and William Carvalho were used and were present in some decisive moments. From the beginning, the Portuguese goalkeeper ran into the Verdiblancos goal and scored an own goal in the eighth minute, following a move in which the ball bounced off three Betis players.

But Morata scored a goal and ended the eight-match drought. After an incomplete save from Rui Silva, the Spanish striker scored the lead goal in the 44th minute.
