Model Bridget Malcolm, who was one of the “Angels” of Victoria’s Secret, has taken to social media to criticize the brand. The Australian showed off the bra she wore at a fashion show in Paris in 2016, and prepared it to show the changes to her now-only healthy body, in her opinion.
In a video, shared on TikTok, 29-year-old Bridget Malcolm lamented the demands of the brand’s managers at the time regarding her physical appearance, specifically Edward Razek, who criticized her body during her time at Victoria’s Secret.
“I found my bra from the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” she begins by saying the model, as she reviews the piece. “He’s a size 30A, I’m 34B today, which is healthy for me,” he added.
“Ed Razek rejected me on the 2017 show and said my body ‘wasn’t good enough’. I was wearing a 30B at the time, look how big I was. The sadness in my eyes at the 2016 gala breaks my heart.”
The model ends with a criticism of the brand’s latest initiative, which decided to get rid of the “angels” for greater representation. According to the brand, seven “culturally relevant” women will discuss the products. Among the group are actress and activist Priyanka Chopra and footballer Megan Rapinoe.
“Victoria’s Secret, your alliance for more inclusion is a joke,” the model photos.
