ShA python has been rescued from what keepers consider an unusual location. The reptile was discovered in a trash can by sanitation workers on Prince Edward Island, Canada.
“The team found it very funny,” said the development and communications coordinator for the association that collected the snake. “It is not common to find an escaped snake, but it could have escaped and ended up in a rubbish bag.”
According to UPI, the snake is about 3 feet (90 cm) long. The center that collected it is now looking for someone to adopt it and is trying to find out if the reptile was abandoned or not.
The staff caring for the snake are considering naming him Pepsi, after the brand name of the cardboard box that has become the animal’s temporary home.
