Vaccinando com Natal, a project managed by Natal City Hall and the Municipal Health Department (SMS), is intensifying pentavalent vaccination during September, as well as actively searching for children under one year of age to be vaccinated with this vaccine. The goal is to improve the vaccination coverage rate. SMS is organizing D-Day vaccination for this Saturday (2).
Vaccination will be available in basic health units from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 12 noon and from 1 pm to 3 pm. At additional points, the timings will be from Monday to Friday, from 1 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturdays from 3 pm to 8 pm.
Municipal Health Clerk Jorge Antunes invites all parents or guardians to take their children, up to 6 years, 11 months and 29 days of age, to one of the vaccination points spread throughout the city, throughout the month of September, to receive the vaccination. With Pentavalente that protects against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae B (Hib) as well as updating your vaccination record.
Vacinando com Natal also offers COVID-19 vaccinations for adults and children; yellow fever; Chicken pox (chickenpox); MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella); DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough); dT (diphtheria and tetanus); Dtpa (for pregnant women); flu. OPV/VIP (poliomyelitis); Human papillomavirus (human papillomavirus); ACWY (meningitis); Meningitis C (meningitis); Pneumococcus 10V (pneumonia); and rotavirus (gastrointestinal infection).
Vaccination point is midway
The Municipal Health Department also understands that the additional vaccination point at the Shopping Midway Mall will not operate next week, from September 4 to 9. The point reopens on Monday (11), in a new room on the ground floor, near Avenida Nivaldo Rocha.
