The coronavirus and influenza vaccination campaign resumed on Tuesday (2) in the Basic Health Units (UBS) of Belem, and services will be provided from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This time, additional vaccination points also act as a complementary element and will serve three shopping centers in the capital (IT Center, Pátio Belém and Bosque Grão-Pará), from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In addition to the application of the bivalent Pfizer influenza vaccine, the Pfizer monovalent pediatric vaccine, pediatric vaccines and other vaccines that are part of the routine calendar to update the vaccination record will be provided.
The Municipal Health Administration of Belém (CESMA) stresses the importance of updating the vaccination booklet not with regard to the number of doses administered, but to verify the day of the last dose.
Especially in the case of the elderly, protection decreases after the sixth month, hence the necessity of strengthening immunization.
On the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, it is necessary to boost the double vaccine for people over 60 years of age and immunocompromised people over 12 years of age, provided that there is a period of six months after the last dose, even if it has already been taken, Bivalenti is taken once.
Another point highlighted is that no dose should be given to people with influenza-like syndrome, regardless of the type of vaccine previously administered or its manufacturer.
