The British executive chose to ease some of the measures required to enter the country
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on Wednesday announced small changes in the measures to control the epidemic. Anyone returning to the country after 4:00 am this Friday (at the same time on the mainland of Portugal) will not have to check in before boarding. There is no need to wait in isolation for a negative result when it comes to PCR: a quick test can be done and only if it is positive, PCR is mandatory.
Like Labor leader Khair Stormer, Angela Rainer, the deputy leader, reacted to Boris Johnson’s statement in the General Assembly. Citing the Prime Minister’s view that the nation should “face” the Ómicron wave, Rainer said the National Health Service (NHS) was “not riding the wave properly” but “struggling to stay afloat”.
Many hospitals have declared a state of emergency in recent days due to staff shortages. This condition is reported when the leaders of each hospital consider the most basic treatment to be at risk. “Be honest with people,” Raynor urged Johnson.
Changes made by executives in response to recent requests from representatives of the tourism and aviation sectors. Airlines UK and Manchester Airports Group have demanded the removal of all Covit-19 test controls, saying their real impact on the control of Ómicron variation numbers in the UK is minimal.
Judging by the message that Johnson brought, the government agrees. The UK has reported 194,747 new cases and 334 deaths in the last 24 hours, but these figures include the number of deaths in hospitals between January 1 and 4.
