The Local Health Unit of Leiria Region (ULSRL) already offers the Rapid Care and Response System (SARA) in 14 primary health care units, and intends to implement it in all of them in the short term. SARA is a system that facilitates service in the National Health Service units, through the “callback” function, which consists in recording the user’s phone number when the call is not answered, and the unit must always return the call, within a short period of time.
This service system also provides the user with several options, such as scheduling appointments for a day or at a specific time, the ability to renew prescriptions, and more.
“One of the frequent complaints from our users is the difficulty of answering the phone, especially in primary health care units. With the placement of SARA in the different units, the service has become easier and simplifies the users’ contact with their health center, in addition to providing more possibilities to resolve difficulties and be faster,” explains Alexandra Borges, Executive Member of the Board of Directors of ULSRL.
SARA is a project developed by the Ministry of Health’s Shared Services (SPMS), within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) in the Digital Transformation in Health component.
