The Ukrainian president announced that Ukraine had appealed to the International Court of Justice in The Hague against Russia, and demanded that the court order Moscow to stop hostilities in Ukraine.
“Ukraine has submitted its application against Russia to the International Court of Justice. Russia should be held responsible for manipulating the concept of genocide to justify aggression. We demand an urgent decision ordering Russia to stop its military activity and expect the hearing to begin next week,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

Zelensky wants Russia to be expelled from the UN Security Council
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today defended Russia’s expulsion from the United Nations Security Council as genocide.
“Russia has taken the path of evil and the world must deprive it of its place in the United Nations Security Council,” Zelensky said in a video message carried by the US news agency (Associated Press).
Along with the USA, China, France and the UK, Russia is one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, a status that gives it veto power over decisions.
