The UK government has revealed it is making changes to its online safety rules to stop websites linked to sharing government-sponsored misinformation.

Additionally, companies must take steps to remove content that disseminates this information, and those who don’t comply can face severe penalties.
This applies, for example, to fake accounts created on the site to spread misinformation, or fake accounts used to spread these messages by communicating with local governments.
