UA court in Bournemouth, England, has decided to fine a retired man for deliberately scratching his neighbour’s new car with a key.
A video published by British tabloids the Daily Mirror this Monday shows the moment Keith Ardley drove past a £60,000 (over €68,000) Lexus and scraped its side.
According to the newspaper, 75-year-old Keith Ardley responded in this way to the reform proposals of his neighbor Marius Grison, having previously shown his displeasure with the new neighbour.
The harmful action against the car took place on January 8, 2022. In the video, the man can be seen walking past the car, reaching for her hand and taking his keys from his pocket before doing so.
The next day, Grison, 40, noticed three hazards and asked the security company to make available images from video surveillance cameras.
Ardley, a retired computer worker, has lived in the building with his wife Elizabeth for 40 years and would ask Griesen to comply, pointing out that it was new to the building rather than welcoming the changes. .
Keith Ardley denied all the allegations and, in his defence, insisted he had no problems and no criminal record. The man also argued that he was running his fingers over the marks the woman had pointed out the day before (knowing that the wife hadn’t even turned to look at the car).
The court eventually found Ortley guilty and ordered him to pay a fine and court costs of €1,840.
