Many governments are considering how to mitigate the risks of the emerging technology, which has seen a surge in investment and consumer popularity in recent months following the launch of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
That includes China, where the government is trying to kick in artificial intelligence regulations, with billionaire Elon Musk meeting with officials during his recent trip.
Regulatory agencies around the world are scrambling to create rules governing the use of generative AI, which can generate text and images.
Sunak is traveling to the US and will meet with Biden at the White House on Thursday.
