UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has condemned This Saturday (13th) the attack of the Iranian regime on Israel. “I strongly condemn the Iranian regime's reckless attack on Israel,” Sunak declared in a post on his former Twitter account, “X.”
Iran confirmed it had launched an attack with drones and missiles in response to an Israeli airstrike that destroyed the Iranian consulate in Damascus earlier this month. A general from the Iranian Revolutionary Army was killed in the attack.
The British Prime Minister noted that the United Kingdom is working to stabilize the situation and prevent escalation of conflict in the region.
“Iran has demonstrated once again that it wants to sow chaos in its own backyard. The UK will continue to protect the security of all our regional partners, including Israel and Jordan and Iraq. Together with our partners, we are working urgently to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation. No one wants to see more bloodshed.” Sunak said.
