Nasordin Imavov will take on Sean Strickland in the main event of this weekend’s UFC Fight Night, replacing the injured Kelvin Gastelum.
Gastelum revealed on Monday (January 9) that he had injured his mouth, pulling him out of his middleweight clash with Imav.
That means the American’s wait for his first win since February 2021 continues, as compatriot Strickland returns to the ring a month after suffering his second consecutive defeat – a decision loss to Jared Cannonier.
Frenchman Imavov, meanwhile, enters the UFC’s apex institution in Las Vegas on a three-fight winning streak, last fighting in front of a raucous crowd in Paris in September when he defeated Joaquin Buckley.
Here’s everything you need to know.
When is that?
Qualifiers begin at 10:00 pm GMT on Saturday, January 14 (3:00 pm PT, 5:00 pm CT, 6:00 pm ET) with the main card continuing on Sunday, January 15 at 12:00 pm GMT (5 :00 pm PT, 7:00 pm CT, 8:00 pm ET Saturday).
How can I see?
The card will be broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK, with the broadcaster’s app and website streaming the fights.
