The candidacy of the Confiança Alliance for the Funchal City Council recently met with the team responsible for Achada Fisioclinic, in order to know and understand the main concerns of the entity in its areas of activity, namely, occupational medicine and rehabilitation medicine, and what contribution CMF can make to trying to solve the difficulties faced by the clinic. The visit was attended by the candidate for the presidency of the CMF Miguel Silva Gouía and several candidates for the Council team.
At the meeting, the council’s candidate, Robin Abreu, announced the region where the biggest problems of occupational medicine currently affect: “The state of mental health is of greatest concern given the growing number of workers who need psychiatric monitoring.” and the psychological forum, to which the epidemic is not alien.
Compulsory retirement, remote work, various containment measures and constant news about the dire consequences of the disease have led to a public panic which, for some workers, has led to a drastic deterioration in their quality of life and, consequently, their mental health.
