Casa de Saúde de Santa Maria Hospital will benefit from R$1 million, through the Avançar na Saúde programme, to restore the façade. The signing of the agreement between the Department of Health (SES) and the Foundation took place on Friday (9/12), in Santa Maria.
The President of the Associação Franciscana, who maintains the Casa de Saúde, Sister Liliane Alves Pereira, thanked everyone who made the work possible, stressing that the restoration of the institution’s facade is an old dream. He said, “At this moment when we are witnessing the signing of this agreement, we realize that human life needs beauty, which is clearly ethical and aesthetic.” She noted that in November, the Ministry of Health had already allocated R$1.3 million, also through Avançar, for the acquisition of a tomography device.
said collaborator Gustavo Bendiza, who has worked at the foundation for nearly 13 years.
The Minister of Health of Santa María and the President of the Council of Municipal Health Secretariats of Rio Grande do Sul (Cosems / RS), Guilherme Ribas, confirmed that the Casa de Saúde Hospital had already received many improvements and internal expansions, but was missing the restoration from the outside. “The first impression is often the last. An interface that makes a good impression makes all the difference for patients,” he added.
The Minister of Health, Areta Bergman, said: “We are here with all the residents of Santa Maria, the City Hall, and the hospital administration that embraces Casa de Side. A hospital can and should be as beautiful as we would like our home to be.”
The mayor of Santa María, Jorge Bozobom, concluded the speeches by stressing that the facade of the hospital is essential. “It was a very special desire to be able to carry out this work.”
