YuA woman posted a picture of a female passenger on the plane who continued to be weighed on the baggage scale, before boarding the plane, which divided the internet.
In the photo, which was made into a video for the social network TikTok, Lillian said the passenger was weighed because she said she weighed about 59kg.
In the description, the woman added that the airline allegedly needed to know the weight of all passengers because the plane was “small”.
“It’s a small plane so they needed to know our weight for safety reasons,” he wrote.
The photos, which have garnered more than 1.6 million views, have divided the internet. And if some worried about the woman, saying that “the airports are out of control,” others defended the airline, noting that it was “not personal.”
“This is insulting,” another netizen wrote, while another thought the practice might be illegal.
Other users criticized Lillian for sharing the episode, for filming a stranger without his consent.
“You guys need to stop taking pictures of strangers and posting them online, it’s weird and disrespectful,” the message reads.
