a UK debt has risen by 2.3% compared to February last year, and remains at levels not seen since the early 1960s, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The Office for National Statistics added that debts in February reached 8,400 million pounds (9,828 million euros), down 3.4 billion pounds (3,978 million euros) from what they were in February 2023.
ONS Director of Statistics Jessica Barnaby said today that this is “the fourth month in a row that debt has been lower than it was in the same month last year, with growth in tax revenues outpacing growth in spending.”
