Last Wednesday (10), the United Kingdom Embassy organized a special event to watch the Euro Cup semi-final match between England and the Netherlands. Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The crowd was attended by around 120 guests who had gathered to watch the thrilling clash, which England won 2-1.
The hosts of the event, Ambassador of the United Kingdom Stephanie Al-Khaq and Ambassador of the Netherlands Andre Driessen welcomed the guests and encouraged an afternoon of fellowship and football celebration. The idea for the event came from the English ambassador, who highlighted the power of sport in bringing people and countries together.
The win puts England through to the Euro Cup final, where they will face Spain on Sunday (14). In celebration, the English embassy is already planning to repeat the dose and organize a new event with the English team competing for the unprecedented title.
