a Princess Kate Middleton has dazzled on several occasions with the tiara she has worn in public, however, one of the most memorable occasions was when she wore a tiara that belonged to her mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
We’re talking here about one of Lady Di’s most famous pieces, Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara, which includes diamonds and pearls.
Queen Elizabeth II lent the tiara to Diana as a wedding gift when she tied the knot with Prince Charles in 1981. Although she chose another tiara for the wedding, Diana ended up using the tiara for important occasions, such as the opening of the Hong Kong Expo. Cultural Center 1989.
However, as Hello magazine noted, the tiara was loaned to Princess Kate Middleton.
It is worth noting that the piece was given to King George III’s wife, Princess Augusta of Hesse-Kassel, as a wedding gift in 1818.
However, it was passed from generation to generation, until it reached Queen Mary, who asked for a copy to be made in 1913, and it ended up being inherited by Queen Elizabeth II.
