St. Bernard confirmed the infection of two other patients with monkeypox. In total, the city has three patients with the disease, while Santo André recorded one infection at the end of last month. With the new cases, Grande ABC has already accumulated four times in less than a month.
According to information from City Hall, the two patients have no history of travel abroad and their health is stable.
As in the previous cases, the infected are isolated at home and are followed up and followed up on a daily basis by the municipality’s Primary Care Department. According to the technical standard of the Ministry of Health, the isolation period is 21 days – the period during which the first infected person in the region remained isolated.
The Minister of State for Health confirmed that the city of São Paulo had recorded, as of yesterday, 121 cases of the disease monkeypox (the designation used by the volume), 107 in the capital, three in São Bernardo, and two in Indaiatuba and Osasco. The cities of Cajamar, Itapevi, Itacoquisitoba, Santo André, São José dos Campos, Certosinho and Vinhedo each have one case.
The country already has at least 142 patients with monkeypox, with the largest number of cases concentrated in São Paulo. The Ministry of Health, in a note published yesterday to the press, indicated that it is in direct contact with the state’s health secretariats to monitor cases and track people who have been in contact with infected patients.
