The ex-fighter accuses Diesel of manipulation.
The turbulent relationship between The Rock and Vin Diesel isn’t entirely new, and there are even reports of discomfort in recordings of the Velocity Furiosa saga.
Both actors collaborated on 4 films in the franchise (Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious); However, The Rock is no longer in the last movie in the saga, F9.
The actors are allegedly already made up. And last month, Vin Diesel put a picture of the two of them in his picture official instagram where he said:
“My little brother, Dwayne… It’s time. The world is waiting for the end of Fast 10. (…) You have to participate, don’t leave the franchise like that, you have a very important role to play. No one can play Hobbs. I hope you rise to the level occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
However, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson still thinks Diesel isn’t quite real, and in a recent interview with CNN Entertainment (via Scenario) said the following:
“I was very surprised by Finn’s latest post. Last June, when Finn and I actually met other than on social media, I told him directly – and privately – that I was not going back to the franchise. In my words and said I will always support the cast and always hope the franchise succeeds, but there was no A way to come back. I spoke privately with my partners at Universal, all of whom were very supportive and understanding. The problem.”
“Finn’s post last year was an example of his manipulation. (…) We’ve been talking about this for months and come to a clear understanding.” With gratitude and grace. It is a shame that this public debate has muddied the waters. However, I am confident in the world of ‘Fast’ and its ability to continually please fans, and I really wish my former co-stars and team members a lot of success in the next chapter.”
Would you like The Rock to return to the saga?
“Proud coffee junkie. Gamer. Hardcore introvert. Social media trailblazer.”
