After a long wait, surrounded by massive doubts about the quality of the final product, not to mention accusations of fraud, The Day Before became available on Steam, in Early Access, on December 7th.
However, yesterday, December 11, Fntastic announced that it was closing its doors due to The Day Before failing financially and having no funds to continue operating, all funds earned in these days of availability will be used to pay off debts to partners.
Now, MyTona has responded and announced that everyone who wants a refund will have this opportunity, and Fntastic has added that they will not see a dime for their work in development this previous day.
“We regret that the game did not meet the expectations of the majority of players. Today we will work with Steam to open refund requests for any player who wants one,” the game’s publisher informed The Day Before.
The game has been removed from Steam and despite the uncertainty, the producer has confirmed that the servers will remain active. In their first letter, Fntastic stated that they had miscalculated the costs and requirements of developing a video game and that they were not prepared to develop and support The Day Before.
