Although many still choose Windows 10, Microsoft is not slow in publishing news and updates for Windows 11. This version should soon become the standard and therefore needs to be improved. In this sense, information is now emerging that the next major update for Windows 11 may arrive in a few days.
Although it's constantly developing new features for Windows 11, Microsoft is bundling most of these fixes and improvements into one update. This ensures that users will see many new features from a single installation.
With the last of these updates arriving at the end of October this year, information has now emerged about the next major update to Windows 11. This update is expected to arrive soon, expected to be in February 2024.
Update Moment 5 should not go the same way as in the past. Unlike the recent 23H2 update and some previous "Moment" updates, the next feature release for Windows 11 won't bring many new features or groundbreaking changes.
However, users can expect some small additions, improvements and changes to make the operating system compliant with the Digital Markets Act. The "Moment 5" update for Windows 11 will offer improvements to UI elements, such as the long-promised option to hide the news feed.
There will also be accessibility and sharing improvements, new Windows 365 integration features and updates to system apps: a character counter for Notepad, a new section for the Microsoft Store, etc. For anyone in the EU, Moment 5 will allow you to uninstall Microsoft Edge with just a few clicks.
The vast majority of these new features have already been seen in the Insider Program and are being tested by everyone in that program. It is important to note that this is not official information and it still needs confirmation from Microsoft. However, if it arrives in February, it will be good news for everyone.
