Animal Health in Resende has recently been contemplated with a new investment. The General Veterinary Hospital and the Control Center for Zoonoses (CCZ) received new washers, one for each sanitary unit.
The acquisitions seek to improve services for protected and hospitalized animals in the two public health units.
Another important investment in animal public health. The municipal administration is in the process of modernizing animal health, to provide pets and parents with better care and services. Remember that our municipality has the General Veterinary Hospital, which already has more than 50 thousand attendance, as well as the General Veterinary Pharmacy that helps treat pets. As well as two castramóveis and other holdings in equipment and modern furniture – said Mayor Diogo Palero Diniz.
Other investments in animal health
It is worth noting that the General Veterinary Hospital, since its inception two years ago, already provides more than 50,000 consultations. In addition, the hospital unit received new equipment and furniture.
In March of this year, the city hall also opened a public veterinary pharmacy that supports the treatments provided by the veterinary hospital. Pet owners can purchase medications such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and pain relievers.
Residents also have two castrammobiles that check and mark the castration of dogs and cats. Trailers move around neighborhoods by local demand.
And only recently, work has begun to expand the Center for Zoonoses Control (CCZ), located in Vicentina II. Two new blocks will be built in the unit. Block A will adapt the kennel with space for grooming pets, creating deposits for feed and cleaning materials, and a new observation kennel. Building B will contain space for animal bathing, fresh tar, deposits for chemical waste, cleaning supplies, hospital waste, shared and recyclable.
