The cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) of people involved in Copa America have reached 66, the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday (17), an increase from 53 cases recorded the previous day, from 53 cases.

The ministry stated that 6,521 RT-PCR tests were conducted among players, delegates and service providers. He also mentioned that the data is dynamic and up-to-date based on the information sent by the event organizer responsible for running the tests.
Since the start of the event, over the weekend, 19 athletes from teams of Venezuela, Colombia and Bolivia have been diagnosed. Chile reported on Thursday that a member of the delegation had tested positive, but did not specify if he was a player.
