For the assistance area alone, the financial increase exceeded R$8 million, with the primary care teams and units of Jardim Botafogo, Vida Nova and Aero Itália accredited in the “Saúde na Hora” programme, as well as the qualification of two residency type II therapists and an incentive request for the specialist referral hospital service in mental health.
The director also requested an order for R$600,000 to acquire equipment, an authorization from the Pestalozzi Association of Campo Grande and an extension of the USF (Family Health Unit) Santa Emilia handover agreement. The total amount is about 10.7 million Brazilian Real.
“It is a resource that no longer comes out of the municipal coffers and is supported by the Ministry of Health. In this way, we can invest in other fronts and needs, thus contributing to improving the assistance provided to the population.
The minister explained that if the projects conform to the technical specifications, they will be met. “If all goes well, Senator Nelcinio and I will be the first to kick the ball and score a goal,” assured Quiroga.
