When it comes to the Galaxy S24 lineup, Samsung has been on a roll when it comes to updates. Just two weeks ago, the company released an update to fix the camera and display issues. Now, Samsung has downloaded the March security patch and is ready to roll out.
The March security patch is now arriving on the Galaxy S24
So Samsung has started rolling out this month's security update for the S24 family. The latest patch comes with the firmware version that ends with AXBG. Unlike the update released a couple of weeks ago, this update focuses only on security and stability improvements.
For now, the update appears to be only available to owners living in Europe. But the scope of the offering is expected to expand to include the United States and other regions soon after.
To find out if the patch is available for your device that's a little over a month old, all you have to do is go to Settings. After opening Settings, locate Software Update and you will see a button that says Download and Install if the update is available.
The March update has a small changelog, so the download size will be relatively small.
What happened to the first update?
Samsung's update announcement mentions a new Vibrance toggle in Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Advanced Settings.
However, I remember that the Galaxy S24 range comes with a modified display for a more natural color experience. However, some users found it monotonous, especially when compared to previous Samsung models. Adding a liveness control bar serves both groups of users.
Samsung also stated that the update brings several camera improvements, including updates to the device's zoom functions, portrait mode, night photos, rear camera video capabilities, and more.
