WLA restaurant maid from Arkansas, USA has been fired after receiving probably the most generous advice of her life.
According to the New York Post, this all happened on December 6, when Ryan Brandt and his co-worker were working on an event with about 40 people, at the Oven & Tap, in Bentonville. The event in question was organized by a real estate agency owner who wanted to raise funds for the restaurant’s employees, who had gone through several hardships during the pandemic.
Therefore, all guests are encouraged to donate approximately $100, which will be shared by the staff who will serve at the event.
Ryan was surprised with the help of nearly 4,000 euros. The moment the money was delivered was recorded on videotape.
However, knowing what happened, the owner of the restaurateur and Ryan’s boss forced him to return the tip, which must be shared with all his colleagues, some of whom had not even worked.
According to the woman, she will have to return the money to the manager and she will receive only 20% of the heat.
However, Ryan didn’t want to do this, not least because, he says, the tips had never been split before. Days later, the woman was fired.
When the tipping man learned of the situation, he asked the restaurant to return the money to him and give half of the amount to the maid directly. She also created a fundraising page, which one day raised about 8 thousand euros to help the woman pay for her daughter’s education.
Officials for “Oven and Tap” claimed, in a statement, that the woman was expelled for reasons unrelated to the heart.
