The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) presented its arguments in a California court in opposition to the Blizzard purchase of Activision and told the judge that Microsoft’s actions with Bethesda are strong evidence against the new purchase.
The FTC says Microsoft’s actions after buying Zenimax, including the decision to make Starfield exclusive to its platforms, is strong evidence to encourage the blocking of an Activision buy as everything indicates this will be done again.

The FTC is trying to buy more time to present its case in court and block the deal, which has forced it to request a temporary delay while it prepares a new round of allegations to be filed later in the month.
However, despite all the media attention surrounding the FTC’s actions, experts believe the merger will go ahead and the deal approved. Many experts believe the FTC is just trying to show the service and knows full well it won’t have any arguments to stop buying Activision.
