AndOn Wednesday, rescue teams found four live indigenous children who had been missing for 17 days in the Colombian Amazon, following a plane crash.
According to the Colombian military, it was one of their dogs that took the first step towards discovery.
According to the reports published on their Twitter page, it was the animal “Ulysses” of the Special Forces, who found things belonging to the children, helping from there to reach them. Remember, the children were housed in a makeshift bunker.
Among these belongings, according to the photos, are rubber bands and scissors.
The discovery of the animal, which had already been announced before the children were found, gave the military the courage to continue searching for the Cessna 206 passengers.

In a statement, the Colombian Armed Forces themselves stated that more than 100 personnel were deployed to this rescue mission, “along with 3 dogs trained to search and track,” with the support of local indigenous people.
