Today, the federal government issued (30) temporary measuresNS 1.059 of 2021, which ensures the continuation of exceptional procedures for obtaining vaccines, medicines and COVID-19 supplies authorized under Law NNS 14124, approved in March of this year.
The text of the law stipulates exceptional measures until tomorrow (31). According to the MP, Law 14214 becomes effective for the duration of a public health emergency of national importance declared due to the pandemic.
The law, for example, allowed for tenders to be waived so that direct and indirect public administration could enter into contracts to purchase vaccines and supplies aimed at combating COVID-19.
The rule also allowed states and municipalities to obtain immunization products with exceptional import permits, which ended up in the case of Sputnik V at the behest of the Northeast governments.
Permits are being recognized from health authorities in other countries and blocs, such as the European Union, the United States, Russia, China, Argentina, Australia, Japan, India, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The law also allowed for exceptional measures in other areas, such as contracting for ICT goods and services.
