The projects, submitted to the Environment Fund of the PRR, aim to improve the energy efficiency of 20 buildings of various organic units and higher schools that are part of the IPC.
The vice president of the authority affirmed that “with the implementation of these measures, it is expected that there will be a decrease of about 65% in the consumption of primary energy from non-renewable energy sources, thus reducing the energy bill for the facilities.” IBC, Ana Ferreira, in a statement sent to Losa Agency.
The interventions are aimed at applying thermal insulation, replacing window frames, installing smart LED lighting, replacing HVAC / DHW systems, water equipment for high-performance solutions and, in particular, installing photovoltaic, thermal and hybrid solar energy systems with the aim of enhancing the consumption of energy – renewable energies in a self-consumption system.
According to the official, at the same time “it is still possible to improve the conditions of the facilities in terms of energy, heating, water and indoor air quality, and to provide a better working environment and living conditions in the housing situation, for their students, teaching and non-teaching staff.”
