From January 1 to September 1 this year, Palmas recorded 10,174 confirmed cases of dengue and 2,413 cases of chikungunya. In the same period, the capital confirmed the diagnosis of four cases of Zika virus. There is no confirmation of yellow fever yet. Data are from the Municipal Health Department’s (Semus) Arbovirus Weekly Monitoring and are subject to change.
With regard to the suspected cases that were reported in the same period, the bulletin shows that the capital recorded 20,979 suspected cases of dengue fever, 5,250 cases of chikungunya, and 783 cases of Zika virus, in addition to seven cases of yellow fever.
In the last epidemiological week, from August 21 to 27, 127 cases of dengue, 35 cases of chikungunya and ten cases of Zika were reported as suspected. No one is suspected of having yellow fever.
In the previous week, from August 14-20, 178 cases of dengue, 60 cases of chikungunya and three cases of Zika were reported as suspected. As last week, there was no suspicion of yellow fever.

Regarding the same period in 2021, the capital has investigated 2,410 dengue cases, 178 chikungunya cases, 167 Zika virus cases, and four yellow fever cases, with 1076 confirmed dengue cases, 20 chikungunya cases, and nine cases Zika virus.
