It’s official: Eddie Equire is joining the Sporting basketball team. In a statement, Al-Aswad announced the signing of the 26-year-old Canadian middle, who is 2.06 meters long, and is considered to be an important part of the title attack, coming from the Niagara River, in Canada specifically.
In his first statements as a Sporting player, Eddie Ecure was very happy to represent the green and white team: “It’s a great feeling to sign for Sporting, I feel very happy to have the opportunity to be here. We have a very good team and a good coaching staff, and it’s good to compete in a winning club. “That’s why I wanted to play here, so we can keep winning.”
“I started my game in defense, I play hard and always have my energy. I’m there offensively, I shoot for the basket, but in terms of attitude, I have a lot of energy and the will to win”, he said, defining himself as a competitive player who “runs in transitions and is able to cover positions”. On Defensive Tasks: “I think I can use that energy to help us work as a team,” the Canadian fired.
“I’m really excited to be able to meet and see our fans in the stands, I’ve heard a lot of good things. I saw some videos of last season’s games and they looked excellent, I’m really excited,” said the basketball player.
“It would have a great effect to have a big crowd behind us, it gives us extra energy, it annoys the opposing team and makes them make mistakes. For us, it helps to raise the energy,” ended Eddie Ecure.
