LeBron James, 38, made history Wednesday morning by scoring 46 points for the Lakers in their game against the Clippers, becoming the first basketball player to score more than 40 points against 30 NBA teams.
However, the 46 points were not enough to prevent his team from being defeated. The Lakers lost to the Clippers, 115-133, and returned to the losing streak, after two straight victories. The Lakers are 13th in the Western Conference, while the Clippers are in fifth.
Also in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets responded to their previous round defeat, with the Oklahoma City Thunder, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans, 99-98, following in the lead. Jokic and Murray of the Denver Nuggets were the game’s leading scorers, with 25 points each.
To the east, the Boston Celtics continue a poor run, suffering their second straight defeat, now against the Miami Heat, by a score of 98-95. Tatum topped the Boston Celtics scorer list with 31 points, while Adebayo led the Miami Heat with 30 points.
