yoThe 11-year-old m Shih Tzu dog came to the “hands” of the KC Pet Project, in Kansas City, USA, with fur in a state that specialists in this animal shelter had not seen for a long time.
Simon, as this bigeye was called, was cared for by the shelter’s vet team, which took over two hours to cane him.
Before cutting it, Simon weighed 10 kilograms, but three kilograms of this weight was matte fur. “We never know what condition they’ll be in after they’ve been cut, and surprisingly their skin is in such good shape,” the KC Pet Project reports on their official YouTube page.
Simon, thin and covered in fleas, will need dental surgery soon, but for now he is being looked after by specialists at the shelter until his wounds heal.
