Textron yesterday (8) announced the delivery of 400 Bell 505 helicopters to European Al Barratt, Grenade co-founder and owner of Cotswold Aviation, both located in the UK.

Along with Bell’s leadership team, Barratt received the custom model at an awards ceremony at Bell’s Mirabel, Canada facility. “The Bell 505 is an amazing aircraft and we are proud to celebrate the 400th anniversary of its delivery to Mr. barssaid Lachan Bonaparte, Bell’s vice president of commercial sales. The Bell 505 offers great performance features, state-of-the-art avionics and a versatile cabin for our customers. This would be a great addition to the Cotswold Airlines fleet“.

The first Bell 505 was delivered in 2017, and today there are 400 aircraft in service on six continents. The form is one of the company’s fastest growing products for the corporate and VIP markets. As demand for this aircraft increased, Bell continued to introduce technologies to the 505, including an updated avionics suite and autopilot capabilities.

“Flying 505 is a unique experience and an ideal solution for business trips to the UK and other parts of EuropeBars said. “This plane saves me time all day in avoiding crowds and takes me quickly and safely to my destination. I already operate two single-engine fixed-wing aircraft and am looking for the “rotary equivalent” of these machines. The amazing 505 fits perfectly with my mission, combining performance and technology and minimizing experimental workload.“.

The Bell 505 is the latest five-seater aircraft designed for safety and efficiency, using the most advanced technology to date. The Garmin G1000H NXi integrated avionics suite and Safran Arrius 2R engine with Fadec Channel provide greater situational awareness and reduced workload to successfully fly in a variety of scenarios. With the added benefit of a large cabin and panoramic views from the windows, the Bell 505 is ideal for business travelers and privately owned tourists.
