Attempts to fool Tesla’s systems are well known, especially when it comes to self-driving. There is no shortage of videos on the internet showing drivers asleep or simply traveling without touching the steering wheel.
Naturally, the scenarios are incorrect and even violate the principles of the brand. To eliminate the situations, Tesla now has an update that removes very dangerous tricks for good.
Tesla wants to end all scams
Tesla Autopilot, while not an autonomous driving system, gives electric vehicle drivers some freedom. It allows them to rely on the system, but they periodically have to put their hands on the wheel to prove their presence and awareness.
Of course, ways were soon found to fool the systems and thus almost completely eliminate driver attention. Examples pile up, and a simple orange color has already been used to simulate a driver's presence.
The latest version of the Full Self-Driving Beta (V10.69.3.1) can detect some forms of autopilot defeating hardware and will be slowly adapted over time as Tesla discovers new avenues.
If detected, it will trigger a forced disengagement of the autopilot; Which led to strikes.

The driver is present even with autopilot
All scenarios associated with cheats are about to stop working, as can be seen from the latest update, still under testing. This makes Tesla's operating system smarter and can detect when tricks are being used.
Depending on what's ahead, whenever devices are detected, Tesla AutoPilot will turn off. Warnings will accumulate and the user may be prevented from activating the system, as they have to restart their journey to access this functionality again.
Upon the wide release of the V11, it is assumed that the "blows" system will be removed.
Use of these devices will continue to cause autopilot disconnections and will prevent further activation until the next drive (similar to the behavior now).

You won't be able to fool electric cars
It was also revealed that the system will be able to be updated whenever new ways to cheat AutoPilot are discovered. Thus, the novelty gains the ability to adapt in the future, protecting users.
As controversial as it may sound, optimizing Tesla's system will protect users. An informed and alert driver is essential in Elon Musk's electric cars, which is why they are periodically asked to touch the steering wheel and thus show their presence.
