The electric car has never been the best-selling in the world, nor has it been this expensive. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
When we talk about electric cars, we talk about them Tesla. Elon Musk's brand, which has expanded into selling electric cars, has seen its latest model, the Tesla Model YTo become the best-selling car in the world. Even in Portugal, a country with a much lower average salary for such an expensive car, it was the best-selling electric car and became the best-selling car within a few months. What makes it so attractive and what are its disadvantages?
A few things stand out about the Model Y when we analyze it for a few minutes: speed, autonomy, size and safety. The version we're showing in the video below is the Long Range, a car that easily covers more than 480 kilometers in the city and about 300 kilometers on the highway on just one charge, and is impressive with its safety. In fact, the entire Tesla brand should be congratulated in this regard, as its 4 models are the 4 best rated cars ever in crash tests (both in Europe and the USA).
On the other hand, there are some points where Tesla deviates a lot from the norm and which may not satisfy some drivers, the most important of which is the issue of almost everything having to be done and controlled from the main screen, or even more controversial which is only present in the new Model 3: signals Turning the buttons on the steering wheel…is it a matter of habit? We think so, but it's important to try it first. Added to this is the issue of charging, which is perhaps the topic where there is the most uncertainty and which can clearly turn off any buyer, especially if you do not have a way to charge the car at your home or place of work.
