Russian soldiers shot and killed a 10-year-old girl who was in her house on the outskirts of Kyiv. After access to the cemetery was blocked, the family had to bury the body in the backyard.
Anastasia Solok, 10, is shot dead by Russian soldiers in a village in the town of Chebiny, on the outskirts of Kyiv, Ukraine, on February 28. According to “The Times”, which spoke to the cousin of “Nastya”, as the girl was known, the soldiers got drunk and began “shooting everywhere” after a Ukrainian boy fired a shot in the air.
“The Russians robbed all the stores and drank a lot of alcohol. Then they started shooting while they were already drunk. They are said to be already tired and bored, so they shoot everywhere. In this case, there was a boy [ucraniano] that was launched into the air. They heard it, but were drunk, did not know where they came from, and shot in all directions, “says Anya, the victim’s cousin, who was wounded in the end.” They shot several houses. In one of them we had Anastasia. He was with his uncle and died instantly. The uncle who was with her was taken to the hospital, but we don’t know anything about him.”
The British newspaper reported that Anastasia’s family wanted to transfer the girl’s body to the cemetery, but the army prevented access to it and did not allow the girl to be buried there. With no alternative, the family ended up burying the body in their backyard.
