Telegram recently announced the implementation of several new features for its various apps, with the most notable implementation ensuring that the required support for group video calls. Interestingly, the way in which the new functionality presents itself points to great inspiration from Apple’s FaceTime.
To start a group video call, users will need to initiate an audio call first, and then activate their cameras via the camera button. In terms of group voice calls, there is no user limit, but Telegram saw fit to impose a 30 user limit for the new feature.
In order to increase productivity on these types of calls, users will also be able to share their screen with just one touch, making sharing information easier.
To improve the entire user experience, Telegram has implemented another feature already seen on Apple platforms, which is noise cancellation. This way, with just one click, users will be able to get rid of most of the background noise.
Telegram adds new wallpapers and chat animations
In addition to supporting group video calls, the messaging app has also introduced some new features for your chats. Telegram is a leading implementation of animated wallpapers, which basically show tone changes whenever a message is sent/received.
These color patterns can be customized in the settings, which makes it possible to create unique wallpapers in a very practical way. The creations can then be shared with other users.
Message animations, emojis and stickers have also received interesting improvements. New animations make content slide from your smartphone’s keyboard into the conversation window. Although it may seem like a simple addition, it can contribute greatly to a more pleasant user experience.
